CAMP BEN DELATOUR

(NEAR THE GORGEOUS RED FEATHER LAKES AREA)

 August 13-15 2010

We had a great time and could not have asked for better hiking weather. There were 11 scouts and 3 adults in attendance from the beginning Friday night. Mr. Black joined us after we completed the hike and just in time for dinner and the evening festivities. He said he had an excuse from his mother but we never saw it.

For those of us making the hike, we completed 13 miles out of the 10 miles we we supposed to do.  Yes thats correct, the hike really was longer than it was supposed to be.  We also had a combined altitud gain of almost 1700 feet. Congratulations to all who participated.  The hike was a great success!

Our thanks go out to Mr. Mocilac and Mr. Bizzigotti for setting up the event.
